Airlay lines demand is growing for special applications and waste recycling
The nonwoven machinery manufacturer Cormatex of Montemurlo, Italy, will be exhibiting at SINCE 2017 – Shanghai (booth 1W11) from 8th to 10th of November and 10 days later will take part as a speaker to the Fifth International Forum on Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Textile Products in Beijing.
As a pioneer in the field of complete nonwoven production lines for special staple fibers and recycled materials, Cormatex will present its latest developments in Airlay technology and a variety of innovative recycled products that can be achieved with its unique systems.
The success that Cormatex is achieving worldwide with its Nonwoven Lines is mainly based on the increasing interest in “green projects” on one side and on the growing demand for high performance nonwovens on the other: the capability of Cormatex innovative Airlay systems to process various types of wastes that would be otherwise disposed into landfills as well as special high performance materials such as carbon fiber is the perfect answer to the growing demand of innovative nonwoven solutions.
Cormatex Machinery portfolio includes opening and blending systems for virgin fibers, post-industrial and post-consumer waste materials, Carding & Cross Lapping technology, “Lap Formair V” (an Airlay system producing a perfectly Vertical fiber orientation in the final product) with a very wide weight range up to 10.000 gsm and excellent resiliency and thermal and acoustic insulation properties, “Lap Formair H” (a unique Airlay system creating a perfectly Horizontal fibers orientation in the final product) providing high mechanical properties even at low weights (100 gsm) and capable of processing very short fibers as well as powder resin, longitudinal and cross cutting machines (high speed cross cutter with flying blade) combined with edge trim recycling machines of various configurations, automatic winders.

Processed materials can include natural and synthetic fibers, as well as glass, carbon, basalt and ceramic fibers, waste materials such as leather, garment and mattress, waste from tyre, recycled paper and cardboard.
